NEW -> See and hear first 5 minutes of the day Vice Chief Watson was assaulted, the hostility shown and how he was told to leave when he had a court order in his hand. 5 min. 11 sec.

11. Vice Chief John Watson Assaulted by associates of defendants of court battle.

May 23, 2007 Vice Chief John Watson, Councilman Cover and Elder Horton wait for sheriffs office to assist with court order due to defendants and associates refuse to abide by order James (Jim Little Chief) Gowan starts hitting Vice Chief Watson with a walking cane.

As Vice Chief Watson attempts to remove the cane from James (Jim Little Chief) Gowan several people attack him. Larnce (Larry) Bailey hits Vice Chief Watson in the back with a cane.

On June 24, 2007 Police Chief Clifford Jadwin is quoted in the Salem News saying "Watson reported to the police department that he had been assaulted on the grounds, Jadwin said." and "Assistant Police Chief Keith Steelman said a report was filed by Watson, but "no other paperwork has been seen."

James Ellis and Larry Bailey say "Jim Gowan, 66, was also allegedly assaulted on the grounds, according to Ellis and Larry Bailey, another member." and they admit Larry Bailey did hit Vice Chief Watson with a cane claiming "Bailey said he hit the attacker in the back with a cane to force him to let the man go."

Court date is set for July 3, 2007. Police Chief Clifford Jadwin has said if called he would arrest everyone, he stood true to his word when misdemeanor assault charges were filed on Jim Gowan, 66; John Watson, 50, and Larry Bailey, 48. All three were given the court summons to appear in Dent County Circuit Court July 3. They were arrested May 24.

Evidence from the Police Department shows Vice Chief Watson was the only one to file a report and then was arrested.

James (Little Chief) Gowan's history of abuse charges while in Missouri go to Missouri Case Net and search the case numbers we found:

03CV835942 in 2003, Adult Abuse Stalking

03CV836679  in 2003, Adult Abuse w/o Stalking

03CV836811  in 2003, Adult Abuse w/o Stalking

Who is James Gowan? In the paper it is said he is 66 years old and is supported in other writings.

NOTE: The Salem News has reported him as being 66 years old but Missouri Case Net you will see he is listed as being born on 07/15/1943 making him 64.

Also notice both James Gowan's on Public Records Finder show both of them living at INDIANOLA, OK.

He claims to be from North Carolina but when doing a Public Records Finder search he has never lived in North Carolina.

INDIANOLA, OK, not Cherokee territory.
BRUNSWICK, GA, about 100 miles N of Florida

SALEM, MO, been here for about 5 years.

So how old is he 64 or 66, is he even from North Carolina?

You decide if we know him and is he really Cherokee, he never had a card before the take over?
